Where to spend a weekend in winter
We offer stays in heated summer cottages where you can comfortably spend a winter weekend.
Our cottages are located in a quiet district of Gdynia - Babie Doły.
The sea entrance is just 150 meters away. From there, you can see majestic cliffs and an old torpedo station.
You can find the available dates for our cottages in the BOOKING section.
About the houses
These cottages sleep 4-6 people. They are new, built in 2020. Inside each cottage you'll find a bathroom, two bedrooms, and a living room with a kitchenette.
The cottages are fully equipped, from kitchen supplies and towels and fresh linens to Wi-Fi and TV access. Cozy rooms allow you to spend your free time away from the worries of the gloomy winter weather.
The house also has a large table where you can play board games.
Mild winters are perfect for enjoying a campfire – we have a shelter ready for you. If you're planning a bonfire, please contact us in advance – we'll have a supply of wood ready.
Our cottages are warm and well-insulated. If we have a break in the flow of guests, we preheat them before your arrival (we have family members who suffer from cold weather and know how uncomfortable it is to find yourself in a cold room – brr!)
Location
The cottages are located in Babie Doły, a quiet district of Gdynia. An ideal place for leisurely walks in the lap of nature.
There's also plenty of supplies and urban charm. Gdynia city center is 8 kilometers away—about a 12-minute drive. Sopot is less than half an hour away, and Gdańsk is a little further. We recommend visiting all three city centers—they're very charming in winter, when fewer tourists arrive and the town atmosphere is more immersive. Traffic increases around Christmas and New Year's Eve, when stalls and Christmas markets appear on the streets.

Where to go for a weekend in autumn
Wooden cottages for families with children for winter holidays
This is just the tip of the iceberg - there are also numerous attractions available for residents:
We recommend:
- Visit museums: especially the amber museum in the center of Gdańsk, the World War II museum, the Solidarity museum, the national museum
- Places worth visiting include: the Gdynia Aquarium, the Gdynia museum ships and the Gdynia Naval Museum, the Experyment Science Centre in Gdynia, and Monte Cassino Street in Sopot.
- Familiarize yourself with the repertoire of local theaters, or the Gdynia Musical Theatre. Unfortunately, the latter requires reservations many months in advance.
Sopot and Gdynia are very peaceful places. Free from crowds, they offer a fresh sea breeze and plenty of greenery. Even in winter, you can feel the peace, especially when the cities aren't flooded with tourists.
In Gdańsk, we recommend starting your sightseeing tour in the Old Town. Beautiful Długa Street ends at the Motława River. It's worth strolling along it, then turning into one of the side streets to admire the historic townhouses, year-round amber shops, and other attractions.
Gdańsk is also a destination for lovers of sacred art. Gothic architecture dominates, and a visit to St. Mary's Church is a must. The view from the tower is breathtaking.
It is also a good place for winter holidays - we have a large playground (spring photos)
The large playground allows children to spend plenty of time outdoors. While some activities are difficult in winter, they can still enjoy those that remain in use.
- On our large plot you can build more than one snowman whenever the snow falls.
- There are also goals, hurdles and a tunnel with a climbing wall.
- The full playground equipment is presented in the photos (summer version).
