What does Gdańsk and the Tricity area have to offer for the weekend?

While in Gdańsk, be sure to visit the Main Market Square, one of the largest and most beautiful squares in Europe. It's a great place to browse the 16th-century townhouses and grab a bite to eat, and the surrounding area is full of charming shops and restaurants.

If you're looking for something more active, head to the beach! The beach stretches across the entire Tricity area, with each section offering its own unique atmosphere. Choose from:

  • a strip of beach in Gdańsk,
  • Sopot beach is particularly attractive in combination with the weekend nightlife,
  • albo spokojna lecz wietrzna plaża w Gdyni,
  • Sopot Beach is the largest and most popular beach in the Tricity and is definitely worth visiting,

There are also unique beaches in the surrounding area - for example, the beach with cliffs in Babie Doły - a quiet district of Gdynia, close to nature and only a 15-minute drive from the city center.

What else? Of course, no trip to Gdańsk would be complete without a visit to the famous amber market! Recently, you can also visit the amber museum, which houses enormous specimens and exquisite handicrafts.

A more romantic side of the city - a romantic weekend for two

A romantic getaway for two in Gdansk has tons to do! You can explore the charming Old Town, stroll along the river, and enjoy delicious food and drinks.

Gdańsk is also home to a vibrant nightlife, so you can enjoy a night out on the town as well. So, if you're looking for a romantic getaway within Poland, be sure to check out Gdańsk!

Sopot also has plenty of attractions. Treat yourself to a romantic getaway by heading to Monciak (Monte Cassino Street). There, you'll experience the bustling life of this short but vibrant street. The street ends in a square overlooking the sea, and beyond it lies the famous Sopot Pier. There's also plenty of beautiful architecture to be found here.

You don't necessarily have to spend hundreds of zlotys to have a good time there. You can enjoy a romantic dinner in at least five restaurants, not to mention other sophisticated eateries with affordable prices.
